FutureCitizen Terms of Use
Effective date: July 26, 2026
These terms apply when you use FutureCitizen. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service and independence
FutureCitizen is an independent study website for Life in the UK test preparation. We are not part of the UK Home Office or any government body. We provide study material and practice tools only.
2. Accounts and access
You can use some features without signing in. If you sign in, your progress can be synced across devices. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. Free and Pro plans
We offer free access with usage limits and a paid Pro subscription with higher or unlimited usage. Plan details shown in the app and at checkout form part of these terms.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Monthly plan. Billed every month and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal, and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.
- 12-month plan. A single payment for twelve months of access. It does not renew and you will not be charged again. There is nothing to cancel — access simply ends when the twelve months are up, and you can buy again if you want to continue.
- You can view your plan and manage or cancel billing in the billing portal at any time.
- The current price of each plan is shown in the app before you pay and on the Stripe checkout page. Prices may change, but a change never affects a plan you have already paid for.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Immediate access and refunds. Pro gives you access to digital content and services straight away. By purchasing Pro you ask us to start it immediately and acknowledge that, once access begins, you lose the 14-day “cooling-off” right to cancel that would otherwise apply. Fees are therefore non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law (for example if the service is faulty or not as described). On the monthly plan you can cancel at any time to stop future payments. The 12-month plan has no future payments to stop.
4. Account deletion and cancellation
If you delete your account from the app, we attempt to cancel any active subscription and remove synced account data. In some cases we may ask you to contact support before deletion if cancellation cannot be verified automatically.
5. Content and accuracy
We write our own practice content and aim to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee completeness or outcomes. You should always check official sources for final requirements.
We do not provide immigration, legal, or professional advice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, or republish our question bank or explanations without permission.
- Sell, resell, or distribute access to the service without authorisation.
- Attempt to disrupt the service (e.g., abuse, hacking, excessive automated requests).
- Use the service for unlawful or harmful purposes.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content, design, branding, and software on this site are owned by FutureCitizen or our licensors. Using the service does not transfer ownership rights to you.
8. Changes to the service
We may update content, features, or pricing over time. We may also suspend or limit access to protect the service or comply with legal requirements.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses from using this site. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction — unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
11. Contact and updates
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version.
